Non-Euroamerican culture is a significant and firmly acknowledged part of the art scene and as such it is represented in galleries in the centres of the art world. The relationship, and sometimes tension, between art from countries located distant from Euroamerican capitals and local art work can be interpreted as one of the sources of debate in the art scene. Gallery with Residency programme
OneArt is committed to create a prestigious residency programme for non-Euroamerican artists who will actively contribute to the curatorial programme of the OneArt gallery and who will produce art work which will be related to the current theme of the gallery project, such as Identity, Sacrifice or Art on Periphery. The gallery programme aims to connect activities of the artists in residency with the local artistic scene and by doing so to create an opportunity for a productive artistic dialogue. ...read more
OneArt Journal
OneArt project is using the online Internet journal OneArt – Journal of Contemporary Asian, African and Latin American Art and Humanities as a supporting information medium. The journal’s themes are identical with the themes of the gallery curatorial programme, thus the content of the journal includes article and artists’ presentations. The journal was constructed as an interdisciplinary forum for theorists and art historians opened to the public in order to arrive at the new perspectives and broad debate about the individual topics. Publishing
Our aim is to introduce African, Asian, Latin American and Middle Eastern art to a broader audience and to initiate open yet critically rigorous discussion on current and significant issues. The main platform is our electronic journal which regularly investigates one theme, which is chosen by the editors. A selection from online articles will be published as a printed volume that includes commentary to the articles as well as an introductory essay. ...read more
Exhibitions
Exhibitions are together with the residency programme in the core of OneArt project activities. The curatorial aim of the exhibitions will reflect the current issues which are being discussed by non-Euroamerican artists.
OneArt is in the process of curating exhibitions prior to the opening of the permanent exhibition space and mediatheque in cooperation with the several established galleries and art institutions. ...read more
Library
OneArt project includes the building of a library of sources about the non-European art which will gather books, audio and video tapes, magazines etc., and which will be open to the public. There is currently no open access institution in Czech Republic that would hold resources about the non-Euroamerican art. ...read more
Other activities
OneArt is planning to organise a variety of events aimed at the public such as workshops with artists and curators, talks, lectures etc. The events will take place regularly and will involve pieces from our growing collection of contemporary non-Euroamerican art as well as artists from the residency programme. The events programme will be planned around the exhibitions and the themes taken from the curatorial programme of the gallery. ...read more

OneArt is currently in the process of creation of a virtual database of artists and their work, which should include a biography of artists, virtual gallery of their work. Our goal is to present visually their work and promote it in the world and in the Czech republic. The database should provide the public with accurate and coherent source of information about each included artist. ...read more
Scholarly papers
We accept original and unpublished texts in the form of academic articles as well as theoretical essays, comparative case studies, intellectual commentaries, review essays and scholarly book reviews. Lecture transcriptions, interviews and other materials, will also be considered. ...read more
