Krista Nassi is an Iranian-American artist best known for her outspoken installations and paintings. Evocative and impressionistic, her paintings truly reflect the whimsy and sensitivity of their artisan. The subjects of her installations inspire thought and are deeply reflective of the modern and kaleidoscopic conditions of life. Embedded in each piece is a narrative of a woman whose voice and message is patient yet brazen, feminine yet fierce. Krista’s vision is a bold display of earnest yearning for harmony and justice.
Krista holds a Master of Arts degree in painting from the University of Art in Tehran, Iran. Her work can be found in Tehran’s Museum of Contemporary Art as well as a selected number of galleries throughout the world including Japan, Malaysia, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Italy, France, Austria and many more. In 2002, she enlisted in the “Triennale Internationale D'Art Contemporain” in Paris where she received an honorary diploma for her paintings. In 2002 Krista received an award from the LASALLE College of the Arts in Singapore for her installation in the “Site + Sight Exhibition”. Her participation in 2001 at the 10th Asian Art Biennial in Bangladesh earned Krista the Gold Medal and an honorary diploma from the Shilpakala Academy of Fine Arts.
Krista emigrated to the U.S. from Iran in 2005 and now lives and exhibits her work in Los Angeles, California.
