OneArt is planning to organise a variety of events aimed at the public such as workshops with artists and curators, talks, lectures etc. The events will take place regularly and will involve pieces from our growing collection of contemporary non-Euroamerican art as well as artists from the residency programme. The events programme will be planned around the exhibitions and the themes taken from the curatorial programme of the gallery. The aim of the events is two-fold. It should create an opportunity for the artists from the local scene to lead a dialogue with the visiting artists of the gallery. Secondly, it creates a space for the public to learn about the current theoretical issues related to the non-Euroamarican art scene and makes an opportunity to meet the artists and their works.
OneArt also intends to realize a specific educational programme centered primarily on the students of primary and secondary schools, but also university students and members of the wider public. The programme will consist of series of workshops and seminaries focused on presentation of contemporary non-Euroamerican art with emphasis on current trends and methods of artistic production. Seminaries and workshops will be conducted by interactive and entertaining ways. The programme will be undergone with the cooperation of professional lecturers who will present this particular artistic area to the students and wider public thus enhancing the wider consciousness about the non-Euroamerican art and increase opportunities for inter-cultural dialogue and openness in the society.
