Our aim is to introduce African, Asian, Latin American and Middle Eastern art to a broader audience and to initiate open yet critically rigorous discussion on current and significant issues. The main platform is our electronic journal which regularly investigates one theme, which is chosen by the editors. A selection from online articles will be published as a printed volume that includes commentary to the articles as well as an introductory essay.
The books in Czech and English should result from editing issues of the journals, yet the edited book will provide a different context to the topic discussed in the journal and as a curatorial concept in the OneArt gallery. The contents of the books will include texts which were not previously published. Each book should become a tool or a companion to the reader who wants to learn about key issues discussed in the field of enquiry contained in the book.
