Hiroe Komai was born in Kyoto, Japan and graduated in Fine Art Sculpture at Kyoto Seika University. She completed a further BA in Sculpture at Camberwell College of Art in 2000 (First Class Honours) and an MA in Fine Art at Goldsmiths College, University of London in 2003. She lives and works in London.
