My artworks are the synthesis of present contrast society. It is an expression of dualities between practical and ideological thoughts of human beings. For me, as an artist, I always question myself and conventional act of society for the sake of wider perspective and diverse realities. I try to find clear and meaningful approach to depict my concepts, through the visual language.
For me, I like to play with different issues, want to know about the function of life, like to share with people about their stories of both fantasy and reality. I don’t have fixed ideology about making of my art work. It depends according to the project, I work on. I pass through issue and interconnect it with various perspectives, different stories, and diverse realities to make it common, collective and loud voice, where we can agree with some aspect.
“Ash-passka kathaharu” (Stories from Locality)
In longer forms of fiction, stories tend to contain certain core elements of dramatic structure: exposition; complication; rising action; climax; resolution; and moral. Through these visual stories I have tried to divide the concept in three episodes. These stories straight and directly convey the message of the concept. These stories are worked on prose technique.
“Ash-passka kathaharu” This series of triptych reflect true stories. But these are not the real story of the characters that are depicted in my art works. All the characters are selected according to the concept of the story. Through the various artistic aspects, I have tried to understand the strangeness of human life. Each story depicts their inner nature and its own state of mind. The characters are selected according to the need of different issues of today’s social structure. Some stories are painful and realistic but I tried to present it in the manner of humor. Never the less each story sensitively represents its subjective perception through the fictional artistic exercise.
Mr. Mouse is Strong and Everywhere…
‘Mr. Mouse is Strong an everywhere’ is a fictional practice that reflect the serious, un satisfied, insecurity, frustrated and disturbed mentality of common people, which he emotionally expressed towards the government. This visual story visualized a sharp contrast between the ideological beliefs and a reality of contemporary socio-political issues that each and every common people talk about…
“Safe Yourself First…” and “Save Life Together”
In my paintings “Safe yourself first ….” and “Save life together” I have illustrated the duality of perceptions, in a contrast manner. I have portrayed this concept in two episodes. In the first episode a character is holding a house on his hand .It represents the self-centered, ambitious, greedy and desperate position of today’s human beings, who are bound to be focused upon their basic needs only. Making them senseless about the inter-depended eco-system of nature. Whereas the second episode depicts harmonious interconnection of human and nature. There a character is holding a fresh plant representing the consciousness for preserving nature. The character in second episode is farsighted; he understands the interdependency in nature .But this seems to be ideal and unpractical in the current scenario. Through this two contrast perceptions I tried to depict two dissimilar realities we are living in.
